Apparently you can't go inside now. Named after Mrs. Rita, who became well known through "Massan," there was once a time when it operated as a tea room where you could enjoy English-style afternoon tea. It brings back memories of warming my chilled body with a scone set.

On the Yoichi Distillery factory tour, we saw the old laboratory named after Masataka Taketsuru's wife Rita; the interior is not open to visitors.

It's inside the Nikka Whisky factory, but currently you can't go inside due to earthquake-resistance issues. The reason makes sense: there are too many windows. Apparently it used to be a laboratory and a bar.
