Came here with my wife for some seafood goodness! Level 1 is a supermarket selling fresh meat and seafood from daily catch. Everything looks very fresh! The main point is Kakizaki Shoten at level 2. Queue starts forming up 20mins before opening, and by the time they open? We are at level 1. Orders is pretty straightforward, order with the cashier and make payment, you’ll get a receipt with a number where the sever will call when they bring the food out. We came here for the Uni and they didn’t disappoint us. We were given a choice of Yoichi and Otaru Uni, we ordered one each! Otaru Uni have this sharp freshness taste while Yoichi Uni have a sweet aftertaste to it. I prefer the Yoichi ones! Also recommend to change the rice to vinegar rice as it goes really well with the Uni. In addition, we ordered a snow crab miso. It’s was really delicious! And the portion of snow crab was pretty large. They were thoughtful to cut up the crab so it’s easier for us to pick out the meat. They also provide extra scissors in case we need. Love this place a lot! Serving really fresh seafood and dining line non stop till they close!

This restaurant is located in Yoichi Town and made for a great stop on our way back from Cape Kamui. The first floor houses a small seafood market, while the restaurant is on the second floor. It's well worth a visit—the seafood bowls are generously topped with fresh seafood and offer excellent value. The restaurant is popular with both locals and tourists, which speaks to its quality and reputation. Ordering is straightforward: place your order and pay at the cashier upon entering, then find a seat. Once your food is ready, the staff will call your ticket number and serve the dishes to your table. The process is efficient, and the quality and portion sizes make the stop highly worthwhile. Another plus is the dedicated free parking lot located behind the building, making it a convenient stop for those driving through the area.

If you're visiting Hokkaido, this restaurant deserves a spot at the top of your list. The seafood quality is unmatched: the sea urchin served with roe was a standout, while the clams and live shrimp were exceptionally fresh and sweet. Enhancing the entire experience was a glass of local Yoichi white wine, which paired beautifully. Expect a long line if you go during lunch, but for seafood enthusiasts, the wait is entirely worth it.

Perhaps due to overtourism, there was always a long line, so I had given up, but I ended up waiting to enter only the second floor, and it had been a long time since I last saw the ticket sales lady! I enjoyed a fantastic lunch. First time visiting this year. Seafood bowl - cheap and fresh. (There were a lot of tourists and foreigners. There was a line even on a weekday). First time visiting in a long time. I ordered the usual limited edition sockeye salmon set meal + salmon roe + simmered mackerel in miso. A reasonable price for this quality and volume. Definitely worth coming all the way from Sapporo to eat.

If you are having a driving holiday, I recommend visiting this place for their great food in the restaurant but also for their great produce in the supermarket downstairs. The staff were polite and understanding. Prices are reasonable and cheaper than Sapporo. You can ask for wrapping for your goods after buying them at supermarket. Staff are helpful and nice. We visited on Saturday and the restaurant opened at 10am. We arrived 9:40am and queued until it opened. After reading some of the negative reviews, I think you must be respectful and mindful of the rules and etiquettes of the establishment and the local community. - queue, order, pay like everyone else then go get a table. Don’t get a seat first. - keep your volume down. - put your tray at the rack and tidy up your table area before leaving. - exit at the exit sign.
