Really interesting and well currated museum. Please take the time to visit as it will give you a real feeling of what life in the herring industry of Hokkaido was like.

Looks great from the outside, but it seems temporarily CLOSED for renovations.

Currently closed until April from memory. You're still able to walk around the buildings if you enjoy Japanese architecture.
