View on GoogleA house blending Japanese and Western styles, filled with the feelings of the two of them. Apparently they made the entrance resemble Rita's family home in Scotland so she wouldn't get homesick. The exterior is Western-style, but inside there are wooden shoji screens and tatami rooms, incorporating Japanese elements too. Inside, you can only view the entrance hall, but if you join the paid Platinum VIP Tour you can see the other rooms too.
View on GoogleThe home of Masataka Taketsuru and his wife Rita. It was originally somewhere else and was relocated here. Inside, you can only enter the entrance hall. Items associated with them are on display. On the tour, they only explain the exterior. After the tour, you can take your time looking around.
View on Google19.03.13 Day 2 of my Hokkaido trip⭐ There was a house inside the distillery? Looks like it was relocated here😄 There's also a timeline of the founder, which was really educational, and it got me even more interested in whisky🥰 I knew Taketsuru-san's name back in my school days, but at the time I wasn't interested at all😱 I didn't watch the TV drama either, so now I really want to watch it‼️
