Absolutely delicious and cost effective food. We had the garlic fried rice with tonkatsu and Hokkaido Yakiniku (lamb) don and they were both huge portions and very yummy. There’s even a complimentary affogato with super creamy soft serve at the end. There’s only one person cooking, clearing dishes and organising customers so be prepared for some wait but it’s worth it. He was very chatty and friendly - we enjoyed speaking with him and he even sent us off at the door. Extremely good customer service, would definitely recommend!

I visited Tabedokoro Saruboboo Keihoku-ten. This time I ordered the "Ninniku Katsu Rice", which you could call the shop's signature dish. What surprised me first when it was brought out was the volume. The plate was filled to the brim, and it looked appetizing just from its appearance. The garlic flavor is strong and goes superbly with the katsu. The katsu was substantial, and the seasoning made the rice disappear. I think it's perfect when you want to eat hearty. Despite the full volume, I enjoyed it to the end and was very satisfied. And what surprised me most was the price. This much volume for 980 yen is very reasonable, and I felt the high cost performance. Eating out has been getting more expensive lately, so I'm delighted that it's under 1,000 yen for this. The interior has a casual, easy-to-enter atmosphere, and I got the impression that it's easy to use alone. I definitely recommend this shop to those who want to eat their fill or are looking for value. Next time I'd like to try other menu items, but I'd probably end up ordering this Ninniku Katsu Rice again.

The rice and the owner are both great! I took home the Ninniku Katsu Rice that I couldn't finish. The volume is more than it looks. The flavor isn't too strong and is easy to eat 🙌 If you return your dishes, drinks are free 🥤 ----------------- June 2025 Visited again after a long time. The owner is now running it alone, but still pleasant and the food is delicious. The current menu is only 3 items: ・Ninniku Katsu Rice ・Lunch Katsu Curry ・Lunch Fried Rice They offered the complimentary drink naturally and I was able to have one. （It's not mandatory, but returning your dishes yourself is ⭕️） I went hungry, but as expected I couldn't finish the Ninniku Katsu Rice! Probably about double the amount of a regular teishoku shop? Getting a container and taking the rest home to eat for lunch the next day is also delicious ✌️

☆Tabedokoro Saruboboo・Keihoku-ten☆ A shop that's quietly the talk of the town^^ This was my first visit, and just as everyone says, the master was truly a pleasant person, the type I love☆ The shop itself, frankly, gives a rustic impression, and it's hard to tell what's merchandise and what's decoration… (wry laugh) Even T-shirts and such are hanging on hangers… The small pottery vase for a single flower is cute So today, because of time, I wanted takeout of the popular garlic rice topped with katsu and asked the master, and he said he doesn't have nice containers but would prepare something. Thank you so much, master. Here there are many menu items like catering and hors d'oeuvres, but he handles all that alone too so it seems tough… That day too, a sign at the front entrance said out on delivery, so I wondered if they were open~ and entered timidly, and a cheerful reply came "Ah~ I forgot to take it down~", which reassured me^^ The fact that they run the shop that much is amazing By the way, drinks while waiting are self-service, but Caller and Orange and the others are all complimentary Despite being busy, it was packed up safely for me Afterward I ate it, and the garlic rice was delicious as the rumor goes, and the katsu was tender and really tasty!
