We arrived late in Wakkanai and most food places are closed. Very thankful to have warm stir fried salt and shoyu noodles. The sauce was starchy and delicious. The owner is very kind and patient (because we can’t read or speak Japanese). He even ran out to pass us a pen we dropped!

I felt cheated on how they treated us. We asked for a ramen and the waiter served a JUMBO ramen that apparently costs 1400¥. (We discovered the price on the receipt as it was indicated nowhere on the menu). Before starting having lunch, we asked for explaination and the waiter (he was around his late 50s) was very vague and made as he did not understand. Obviously he thought we were Russian... The broth was disgusting: I love Ramen and had everywhere in Hokkaido and I couldn't finish it for its bad flavour. I hope they close down their restaurant as it is disgraceful to treat visitors like this. Appalling place! PS: don't dry your hands after wash them...the cotton towel is used for the entire restaurant and it is filthy. Obviously they are stuck in the past ...
