I revisited "Kurukuru" in Daikoku, Wakkanai City. An authentic okonomiyaki shop run by the owner, who is from Hokusetsu, Osaka. There are about 8 semi-private rooms for 4 and 6 people. Even if you're alone, they guide you to a semi-private room, so you can go in with peace of mind. The okonomiyaki set and dashimaki tamago set are very Osaka. I ordered the butatama and rice set. I don't like egg yolk, but here the egg and batter are completely mixed, so it's delicious. The owner's service is polite and comfortable, so I definitely want you to go eat there. However, the owner often sets up stalls at events in neighboring towns, so the shop closes temporarily.
View on GoogleThe set is 800 yen, great value and delicious The pictures show the okonomiyaki set and the hamburger set The hamburger set comes with rice, miso soup, and pickles in addition to what's in the picture Recommended
View on GoogleAround 14:00 I stopped by because I wanted okonomiyaki. There are several kinds of service sets, and I ordered it with okonomiyaki. The okonomiyaki comes as a set with rice. I wasn't used to eating it that way and thought I should have ordered it a la carte, but there are also pork kimchi sets and hamburger sets. And they said the service set is available until 17:00. The service set comes with miso soup and oolong tea or coffee for a super cheap 800 yen. I also wanted to try the Soya beef hamburger. Perhaps because it's popular, several groups came in around 15:00
View on GoogleI was curious about the takoyaki so I stopped by and decided to eat in. There were pre-grilled ones for takeout, so I wondered if they'd reheat those, but they properly grilled them fresh. 6 pieces for 600 yen is not super cheap. But it's very delicious. The octopus is also a good size and properly included. Considering the price of the okonomiyaki and so on, I guess it's reasonable. There also seem to be frozen ones.
View on GoogleI had the mix-tama. It's a rare okonomiyaki shop in Wakkanai!
