I ordered the shijimi clam ramen and it was very comforting 🍜✨ The soup had a gentle but deep flavor, and you could really taste the richness of the clams. It felt light yet satisfying, perfect when you want something warm and relaxing 😊 A nice local spot with a calm atmosphere!
View on GoogleInformation on traveling to Wakkanai that Koreans can access is very limited, so this was a restaurant I had saved on Google Maps after getting recommendations from AI (Google Gemini) in advance. Here I ordered the 'clam (shijimi) ramen', 'fried chicken (HFC: I guess they wrote 'H'FC because the shop's initial is H😅)', and a non-alcoholic beer (I was on antibiotics + allergy medicine at the time, so I was forced to abstain from alcohol). The chicken and ramen were made to order, the chicken was clean-tasting, nothing bad about it, and boneless so easy to eat, and the ramen.. I've been to Japan nearly 20 times (Hokkaido 2 times, Kansai 4 times, Tokyo to Okinawa 1-2 times each) and it was by far the best ramen I've had in Japan!👍 I even wanted to add rice and finish it off.🍜🍗🍺 My lodging was on the Minami Wakkanai side so I wanted to come once more, but unfortunately couldn't. Because of the 'shijimi ramen' alone, I want to come back to Wakkanai.💖 * Even though it's a small restaurant in the northernmost tiny town, card payment works fine too.💳

View on GoogleWanting to eat shijimi ramen, I searched and found this shop, and went in for the first time around 12:30 on a weekday. There is parking for 3 cars in front of the shop and 2 beside it. It was crowded due to lunchtime, but luckily there was one free space and I could park. It's a shop where you take off your shoes, with tatami seating and counter seats. There were many lunch menu items, but my only choice was the shijimi ramen (1200 yen). It was served about 10 to 15 minutes after ordering. A clear, golden soup with a moderate amount of oil, topped with big chunks of shijimi. One sip spreads the deep flavor of shijimi, with just the right saltiness, a gentle and nourishing soup. The noodles are slightly curly, whitish, medium-thin, and cooked on the soft side. They pick up the soup well and don't interfere with the aroma of the broth, so I thought it was a well-balanced bowl. The shijimi were also large and gave off more umami the more you chewed. However, in the menu photo they covered the whole bowl, but the bowl served had about half the amount of shijimi in the photo. The amount of noodles was fairly large, and one bowl filled me up. Since the soup was so delicious, I wanted to add rice and eat it as zosui. The price was a little high, but it was a bowl I'd want to eat again. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleHaruki Chaya's shijimi ramen, 1200 yen. I went to eat on a weekday just after 13:00. For lunchtime, you're fine as long as you get in by 14:00. The shijimi were small, but there were nearly 30 of them. The saltiness of the soup was just perfect, the noodles were medium-thin and on the soft side, and it was very delicious.
