I revisited “ハビィ” in Koetoi, Wakkanai. It's away from central Wakkanai, so it may be a little inconvenient. Open 10:00〜16:00 except Thursday, its regular day off. I'm grateful that it stays open continuously. There are 4 counter seats and 4 tables seating 4 each. Prices increased on April 20, 2026, but the recommendation here is old-fashioned ramen with stock made lavishly using plenty of Rishiri kombu. Personally, it's the best in Wakkanai. The curry ramen is delicious too, and I also recommend the seasonal mozuku ramen. The Soya beef hamburger steak, which isn't often served elsewhere in town, is delicious too. However, the lady owner runs everything alone, so serving may sometimes take a while.
View on GoogleThe only small restaurant with parking near Cape Koetoi. People who are always in a hurry aren't suited to visiting; the pace here is leisurely, the food tastes mild rather than intense, and it's a comfortable stop during a trip. Note: Cape Koetoi isn't a tourist attraction; don't be misled by google map.

Even from a distance it had an air of delicious food; my first visit was 2025/7/29. I had the Soya beef hamburger steak set meal, and it was very delicious. The 2 small side dishes and miso soup were delicious too. I found a good place.
View on GoogleThis is a café standing alone on the way to Wakkanai Airport in Wakkanai City. Its exterior is slightly old, but it was stylish and clean. They serve coffee and black tea, of course, as well as plenty of food, mainly Western-style meals and desserts. I visited at lunchtime this time, so I ordered hamburger curry made with Wakkanai beef. It arrived promptly: hamburger curry. Trying it, the hamburger steak was first of all juicy and delicious. Every bit of the meat juices and fat had a fragrant flavor and was superb. The curry sauce was also mellow with just the right amount of spice, and delicious too. It was a thoroughly satisfying dish. There are plenty of other delicious-looking desserts too, so next time I'd really like to try a parfait at snack time.
