A restaurant that has been in Urakawa Town since long ago. The storefront, the building's exterior, and the interior decor give a sense of history, but even though it's old, it's kept clean, so it's a proper restaurant. The menu is extensive, with Japanese set meals, Chinese dishes, Western dishes, and more. It seems different people cook each genre, so when orders of the same genre pile up, the food takes a little while to come out. The ramen is light, but it has a thick starchy sauce (ankake) so it stays piping hot to the end. The mini fried rice is truly mini, but together the two make just the right amount for an adult man. Neither is especially strongly flavored; both were easy to eat and delicious.
View on GoogleThe hamburg steak and fried shrimp combo set is truly an adult's kids' meal. The hamburg steak is small and overall lacks volume. The katsu curry is crispy, but the breading peels off right away. There's little curry sauce and leftover rice, so the balance isn't quite right.
View on GoogleI went at lunchtime. The interior is spacious. I ordered today's lunch, the shark fin ramen and fried rice set, with coffee. In the tatami area there were about 3 middle-aged guys drinking alcohol in the daytime and talking loudly, which was unpleasant. It ruined the otherwise nice background music too. The shark fin ramen was thick-broth style and pretty good. The fried rice was maybe a little salty? When I finished eating, the coffee came out promptly, which was nice. If it weren't for those noisy guys I would have liked to relax, but I hurried out of the restaurant.
View on GoogleI went in wanting Western food, but when I sat down and looked at the menu, it seemed Chinese food was the main focus, so I ordered hoikoro (twice-cooked pork) and plain white rice. There was a white wood ear mushroom appetizer. Everything was à la carte. I got to eat delicious Chinese food for the first time in a while. It made me happy.
View on GoogleI came because I saw the good reviews. Lunch set of shark fin ramen and half-portion fried rice, with coffee, for 900 yen. The shark fin doesn't stand out much, but the ramen soup was delicious. The fried rice is really good. After eating the shark fin ramen my body got really hot, and when I kept saying "it's hot, it's hot," a staff member casually brought me a hand fan. I'd like to come eat here again.
