This rest house is next to サロベツ湿原センター in 利尻礼文サロベツ国立公園. Open only from May through late October. There are souvenir sales and a dining area, with thorough COVID-19 infection-prevention measures. Alongside Hokkaido-style items such as ageimo, imomochi, and soft serve, they sell 「サロベツラーメン」 containing hokki clams, a local specialty of 稚咲内. You can choose salt or milk flavor. With plenty of toppings such as corn and butter, the ramen is very filling.
View on GoogleSalt Sarobetsu ramen I had the salt ramen and fried rice set. The salt Sarobetsu ramen contains butter—it's butter ramen! There are scallops in it. The fried rice was strongly flavored and oily.
View on GoogleVisited 2025.8.11 I went after lunchtime, so I had imomochi as a snack rather than a meal. Crispy and chewy, it was very delicious.
View on GoogleThinking I'd already had imomochi as a convenience-store hot snack and supermarket prepared food, I ordered ageimo. It was freshly fried. It seemed like steamed, mashed potato shaped into balls and fried, and it was very delicious.
View on GoogleI tried both the salt and milk versions of scallop Sarobetsu ramen. I only tasted a little of my friend's milk version. It didn't have much of a milk aroma, just a butter-like richness, so even I, who dislike milk, felt I could eat it. Conversely, the salt ramen tasted like it might be even better with extra butter as a topping. The imomochi was delicious, no complaints.
