The first thing I noticed after entering right after opening was the musty smell drifting through the shop. I immediately lost the will to eat... I ordered the signature katsudon and after waiting 15 minutes, the bowl topped with the thick cutlet as advertised was served. The looks are beyond reproach, but the flavor was too strong and didn't suit my taste. Other reviewers had the same opinion, so this must be how this shop seasons its food.

I dropped in on a whim during a motorcycle tour. The katsudon seems popular, and everyone was eating it. The thick cutlet was tender and surprised me. It's very filling, so please visit hungry. Opening hours are 11:00 to 15:00, and at lunchtime it's busy and the staff can't attend to you easily, so if you're short on time or looking for good-quality service, you should not visit.

I had the katsudon and curry rice for a weekday lunch. The katsudon costs 1,600 yen and the meat is indeed very thick. Despite being so thick, it was cooked through properly and didn't taste overfried at all, and it was delicious. The curry has plenty of meat and is cheap but the flavor is average. I don't think the value for money is bad. Thank you for the meal.

Not friendly, but the portions are huge. The katsudon and katsu curry are popular, and when we went the cutlets were sold out about an hour and a half after opening (Saturday lunchtime). I had the katsudon (2024.9 ¥1400), and the tender cutlet, about 3 cm thick, sticks out from the bowl's lid! The taste is on the salty side with restrained sweetness, and it makes the rice disappear. The dashi flavor is also light. I was so full I didn't need dinner (lol).

☆Marukatsutei☆ I finally made it~＼(^o^)／ Last time it was winter so they weren't open~ makes sense! I had the famous, super thick katsudon It's really thick, wow☆ In my experience Marukatsutei's is the best And yet it isn't tough and the sauce isn't too sweet, so I didn't get tired of it♪ When it arrived I wondered if I could finish it, but I polished it off! Delicious as expected♬ Most of the other customers also had katsudon^^ A woman customer packed her cutlet in a takeaway box...maybe it's impossible for women^^; Since the cutlet is the shop's specialty, if I get a chance next time I'd like to have the katsu curry☆ It was tasty^^/ Thank you for the meal~(_ _) I really wanted to go to this shop! I want to eat the famous katsudon!
