Nice cafe just by the beach. Good area to stop by and recharge with some nice hot drinks and snacks. We had a try of amazuke and coffee to warm us up with the cold winter wind. There is a small display section showing the wonders of the toyokoto ice if you happen to miss this rare season. Best time to come is early morning or twlight to catch the early morning colours reflecting on the ice. Overall very good place to stop by.
View on GoogleFriendly lady serve great seafood don & hot chocolate she gave us caramel pudding Nice place to warm up after shoot in the cold early in the morning with some soup
View on GoogleWe could not see any jewelry ice on the beach, so we went to look around the Cafe next door. There were a few large pieces of jewelry ice outside the entrance, so I suppose that fulfilled our purpose for coming here! There were some photos of jewelry ice inside the Cafe, and you could imagine how beautiful the real thing must be!
View on GoogleI stopped by after seeing ジュエリーアイス. I thought about having amazake… but chose seafood soup instead (lol). It had just the right saltiness, was delicious, and warmed me up.
View on GoogleOn January 20, 2025, on my way back from photographing ジュエリーアイス, I stopped by for cocoa. The facilities are still new, so they are very clean. The toilets should be open 24 hours. It was quite crowded after 8. Apparently there are three staff on weekends, but perhaps only one on weekdays? Several people were ordering food such as seafood rice bowls, and others were buying seafood, so things were hectic. The cocoa took a while to arrive, but seeing how busy it was, that was no problem. I had stopped by to warm up, after all. Perhaps as an apology? They asked, “Are you okay with sashimi?” I wondered why, and then they gave me complimentary tsubu sashimi. The heating works well, and there is a television and chairs, so try stopping by before or after going to see ジュエリーアイス. The parking is a short walk away, but close. When I visited, they were using temporary parking, and the previously uneven gravel parking lot had just been paved, and looked like they would paint the white lines next. Perhaps it would open a few days later? Please do not park on the surrounding streets. If nearby residents complain, things will become even more inconvenient.
