A seafood izakaya devoted to vegetables and seafood from Toyako Town. Please enjoy the seasonal flavors of Lake Toya. The menu includes set meals, rice bowls, curry, side dishes, as well as course meals, sukiyaki, and shabu-shabu. We recommend the "Hotate Toji-don," generously filled with young scallops. We look forward to your visit. *Menu and prices are subject to change.

This looks like a family run restaurant served by 3 generation of ladies, the youngest one being the chef. It was lovely to sit at the counter and see how the chef managed alone in the small kitchen. She was very efficient and kept track of many dishes at once! As others recommended, the sake steamed small scallops are the highlight - really delicious! We were sorry we didn’t try the scallop don with the egg on top it looked good. We tried the chicken udon which was good, the smelt which was ok and a salad which was disappointing (it may be mostly the dressing’s fault but it was a bitter salad with a sweet dressing - although the vegetables were fresh we didn’t enjoy it). Note that in this place you should take off your shoes at the entrance even if you’re sitting at the counter.

Had a wonderful dinner here. The lady owner is incredibly nice and welcoming, and the service is excellent throughout the meal. The food overall is very good, but the chicken wings are an absolute must-order—perfectly cooked and delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you are around Lake Toya!

Amazing restaurant with traditional seating inside. No matter what else you get, make sure you try the scallops steamed in sake. Absolutely divine. Ordered the scallop rice bowl and it came with a small side of soup, which was perfect for one person

Family run restaurant, sisters, brother and mother. Very welcoming and delicious food. We sat at a tatami table which was very comfy and authentic. The two of us ordered 4 dishes and a combo set. We were very satisfied and full. The seafood was fresh and the pork cutlets done to perfection. We highly recommend this cozy, local and tasty restaurant. PS try to make a booking as they were quite full.

Cosy, friendly place that specializes in scallops. If you need your hotate fix, this is your place. Had the hotate curry, hotate boiled in sake, hotate don and the biggest mackerel I have ever seen. All for a reasonable price.
