Very cool exhibition in the tourist centre of Toyako Onsen - just next to the bus station. It's a one room exhibition but with lots of memorabilia and information about the G8 summit - with interactive photo opportunities as well. Very quiet when we visited and very worth it. Even if you're just waiting for the bus back from the onsen town, check it out! May take about 30-60 minutes.

View on GoogleFor those passionate about protecting environment and G8 summit. The Mt Usu museum is more interesting. With hands on interaction able to touch different types of rocks found near Mt Usu. Also boast a showcase of beautiful scenery photography.
View on GoogleIt is good to visit on a rainy day. I learned something new 😌
View on GoogleThe majority of this museum is dedicated to the G8 summit which was held here roughly a decade ago. Personally I have no interest in politics but there is a nice section dedicated to the volcanic eruptions which occurred in the area in the past century.
