Fried rice has arrived at みよしの!? Did you know they have fried rice? And in the regular menu section!? Visit date 2026.6 9 I was in Tomakomai for work. After finishing work just after noon, I wanted some みよしの gyoza for the first time in a while, so I stopped at this branch I was passing, 【みよしの 苫小牧明野店】. Since I have a dinner gathering tonight, I thought I would have something light, perhaps a gyoza set…. Huh? Huh? They have 【チャーハン】!? Fried rice at みよしの!? As far as I can remember, they did not have this before, right? Let's try it. There was a 1010円 set with 1 serving of gyoza. ■Fried rice set　1010円 ・Fried rice・1 serving of gyoza・fresh pickles The fried rice is delicious. Nicely separated grains✨ Though I would have liked a little more oil. Maybe it was a little dry too? On the tablet menu, it was in the regular menu section. So fried rice is already a regular dish✨ I had not been in a long time, so I was a little surprised. And ordering is by tablet with self-checkout. Lots of things are changing. The gyoza were superbly, reliably delicious! Thanks for the meal✨

Lunch at 「みよしの」 in Tomakomai. I have liked it and eaten here for years❤️ Dependable 「みよしの」! 🔸This time I had 「塩ラーメン」 and 「ホタテフライカレーセット」! I could not stop thinking about the fried scallops, and for some reason I wanted shio ramen🍜 too, so I ordered them. The shio ramen is incredibly light, but its seasoning never gets boring, which is very GOOD! I never get tired of the gyoza and curry either. I love the flavors! My gyoza routine is ①Eat them with curry, then ②eat them on their own with plenty of chili oil and a little soy sauce. It gets spicy, but I like eating them this way. I am sure there are all kinds of delicious gyoza, but I love❤ the old-fashioned 「みよしのぎょうざ」! So five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff's service is good too. At some point they switched to tablet ordering. They are evolving! Choosing while seated is easy and nice.

Unbeatable?! (Added 2023.8.8) Returned from Tokyo after 2 months! Breakfast had been a simple meal mainly of rice porridge, so I was starving before noon. After finishing my errands, I headed straight here. Shio ramen set＋a bite-size portion of curry sauce. For a Kanto comparison, it is like 「餃子の満州」. Thanks for the meal♪ (Added 2023.4.13) Today was my second visit, to have the noodle menu available from 11. Gyoza, curry, and noodles are essential, so I added a bite-size portion of curry sauce to the shoyu ramen set. I enjoyed it♪ (Added 2023.1.29) 「みよしの」 apparently opened its first shop in Sapporo's Tanukikoji in 1967, 10 years after I was born, and became a famous chain after appearing on Kenmin Show. Following the guidance of my enthusiast companion, I ordered the spicy みよしの set and tonjiru. Because curry and gyoza are must-haves, and apparently the unlimited-refill fresh pickles are indispensable too, the “みよしの set” becomes the inevitable choice. To give it a premium feel, I added 「豚汁」 containing 1 whole boiled egg. The tonjiru, full of root vegetables and pork belly, added color and made for quite a feast of a plate♪ The curry has a one-of-a-kind flavor that seems like it should exist elsewhere, yet does not. Delicious. I liked it! The salty fresh pickles made sense too. I want to come again.

I had moved away from Hokkaido and came back after several years. When it comes to Hokkaido soul food, みよしのぎょうざ is known for being tasty and cheap, but the price increases and decline in service were shocking. I can accept the fully self-service food-court format, but despite that, prices have risen by several hundred yen, portions have shrunk, and their signature fresh pickles can no longer be refilled. My only image of this restaurant used to be that 1,000円 would get you your fill of gyoza, rice, and curry, but now 1,000円 is no longer enough. The taste has not changed, but I think they should carefully consider whether this flavor and offering are acceptable at this price. Also, starting to clean right in front of me while I am eating, stirring up dust with a broom and mop, is unpleasant, and I would like them to improve that. Price increases are unavoidable, but they are supposed to maintain service; instead, service has clearly declined. I do not think I will go much anymore.
