We landed in New Chitose airport and drove here for lunch. As expected, there was a queue line and we waited for 20mins before getting in. They are famous for the many different ways they prepare fresh surf clams. They are right next to a fishery port so the clams are super fresh! We had non-shellfish eaters amongst our group and they weren't left out as there was other options such as fried rice, katsudon, so not to worry at all! Service is warm and friendly for a family based business. Free flow of cold plain water (self-service). Free parking just across the road. Queue line is innthw outdoors, so if there's a drizzle, you would need your brolly. I have attached the menu google translated to English from Japanese for easy reference.
View on GoogleI enjoyed eating breakfast while watching the daybreak. The daily special seafood bowl was not expensive but has nothing to wow about. The clam curry rice did has its charm. Should you travel all the way to this remote location? For the vibe, yes. For food, probably not.
View on GoogleI arrived ten minutes before opening; however, it was already crowded. The freshness and quality were impressive and entirely convincing. The butter-grilled surf clam was particularly exceptional.
View on GoogleMy best friend invited me here. They serve freshly caught fish and shellfish, prepared by a fisherman. Every menu item is packed with fish. Please note that they are open for a short time and are very popular, so there is always a line. Gochisohsama deshita.
View on GoogleThe surf clam / hokki curry is delicious and generously portioned, making it highly recommended. I arrived at 6:50 am on weekday without encountering a line, but the restaurant was already quite full. After 7 am, there will be a short queue forming.
