Since it's attached to a truck station, the parking lot is large, which is nice. The menu is extensive: katsudon, tendon, soba and set meals of those, plus Go Go Curry. I agonized over the menu in front of the ticket machine at the entrance, and went with the standard katsudon and mini zaru soba set. You can choose the amount of rice in the katsudon as an option, but the normal size seems a little on the small side. The katsudon itself is tasty. The soba is not quite there. It's self-service, but maybe because there were few customers around 15:00, they brought the food to me. I returned the dishes myself. Good for filling up quickly and casually.

It's a chain so it's what you'd expect, but it's conveniently located and the parking lot is big. Above all, there's the greedy set unique to "Katsuten": a combo bowl with both katsu and tempura. They also have lots of my favorite "katsudon not simmered in egg," so I'm torn every time I come. The soba isn't bad either, and I think it's better value than eating at a specialty shop. Given the location, at lunchtime there are lots of truck drivers and office workers, which is nice too. You order at the ticket machine, pick it up when called from the kitchen, and return the dishes when you're done. Everyone says "Gochisōsama deshita~" and heads back to work.

The shop inside the truck station, 【Katsuten Utonai】 I'd been curious about it, but this was my first visit w Actually it was my first time at any Katsuten ww Parked in the huuuge lot and went in ww The menu is way too extensive (lol) Lots of it posted on the walls. What I chose was the Miso katsudon & mini soba set, 800 yen What a deal w It'd been a while since I had miso katsu, and it's a pretty hefty portion w The sweet-savory Hatcho miso really makes the rice go down w The soba was bigger than the "mini" I'd imagined too ww As expected of a truck station! They've got working men's stomachs covered (*´Д｀) Thanks for the meal♪

Plenty of volume Ordered the extra-large katsudon with large rice and a mini soba. The katsu isn't exactly crispy and the soba isn't especially delicious, but it was cheap and a very satisfying amount. It was moderately busy, but the food came out in about 5 minutes, so service is fast. Depending on the season they seem to have a midday break, so be careful.

I stopped by for a meal on 2023/4/3 (it had closed on March 31! They were dismantling the interior!). If you want to eat cheap and fill up in Tomakomai, I recommend "Katsuten" 👍. Every menu item is hearty and reasonably priced! For a small extra charge you can get a large portion (including rice)! 😋 Buy a meal ticket at the entrance (you can choose large size here), the order goes in automatically, and you just wait for your ticket number to be called!… It comes out fast❗ 👍 Basically self-service! The taste is pretty good too! The tonkatsu uses Sangenton pork! Safe meat! 👍 I come here from time to time❗😋🍜🍱🍚 Wheelchair users can use it too! Returning dishes is also self-service!
