Wonderful musiam must visit

Admission is free; this was my first visit. There was someone inside to guide us, and they explained the many kimono, suits of armor, and other items in the memorial museum. 伊達邸 has 2 stories, with 4 rooms in total across 1F・2F. On the way out, they recommended visiting 当別神社 because 伊達邦直 is enshrined there as the sacred object of worship and there are numerous stone monuments, so I stopped by. I think it is worth seeing.

They kindly guided me around. 邑即, 鮎田塾, settlement preceding the 屯田兵. It was truly moving and made me love 当別町!

In month 4 of 明治4（1871）, 伊達邦直 of the 岩出山 branch of the former 仙台 domain settled this 当別町 with his retainers. They cleared primeval forest that was dark even in daytime and overcame floods, cold damage, and many other hardships through indomitable spirit and strong unity, laying the foundations of today's 当別町. This memorial museum expresses gratitude for those pioneering efforts and displays items associated with the 伊達 family and their retainers. Follow the road in front of the 当別伊達 family residence toward 当別神社. Across from the entrance to the shrine's rear approach is a small path leading to 当別伊達記念館 and 伊達邸別館. Farther along, 伊達邸別館 is on the right, and the memorial museum is farther in. Visits can be registered here. 伊達邸別館 is said to have been built in 明治13 and was used for accommodation and discussions when numerous prominent people visited the village, as well as various meetings for village administration.
