Awesome curry rice and pork katsu. Enjoyed the food and nice coffee brewed the old fashion way. Must stop if u are around the region.
View on GoogleWe came in here excited to eat after a long hard Ride from God knows where on our good old pedal two wheelers. The waitress was matter of fact and I appreciated her attitude. The food was excellent. Big portions and piping hot katsu with the right type of really crispy breading on top of a flavorful but light curry. Great balance, great flavors. I just wish they played jazz instead of the TV. But that's just me and God knows I don't live here. Thank you.

View on GoogleA place that seems rarely open. After reading reviews, I visited for the first time at 11:20. There were no customers, so I sat in an empty seat and ordered the katsu curry mentioned in the reviews. There was one woman who seemed to be the owner, and I could hear a man’s voice in the back—was he the cook? She wasn’t unfriendly, but seemed expressionless. She brought the curry after about 10 minutes, then went into the back and stayed there. A little later, a pair of customers arrived and also ordered katsu curry. The curry was completely ordinary, tasting like ◯リーブ in Asahikawa, which closed recently. There were no condiments or fukujinzuke on the table, and you had to go to the counter to get your own water. After eating, I called toward the back to pay, but no one came out. Yet it felt like she was right there, and another customer said she seemed to be inside. After calling excuse me loudly about 5 times, she finally came out, without even a word about keeping me waiting. I guess they can stay in business because it’s Teshio.
View on Google🦅鷲尾★ジロー’s 「北海道の王道グルメ」 series vol.104 👑【天然ひらめ丼】 The cafe 「あげいん」 in Teshio Town. A locally rooted cafe and light-meal restaurant said to have been operating since around the Showa 50s. It is a beloved lunch spot for drivers and regulars, with popular dishes such as katsu curry, hamburger steak, and yakiniku set meals. Its atmosphere evokes the town’s history, with features such as the station sign from Teshio Station on the discontinued Haboro Line displayed outside. The business was passed on in Reiwa 4(2022年) and is now operated by (株)天塩の國. Today I had 「天然ひらめ丼」, reportedly caught individually by rod and line off Teshio😋 A bowl generously filled with wild hirame, with thick flesh that looks incredibly fresh. Mild yet elegantly sweet, its savory flavor spreads with every bite. You can compare it with wasabi soy sauce and ginger soy sauce, and it’s interesting how the same hirame takes on different flavors. I polished it off in no time. So good~(´∀`) Teshio is famous for shijimi clams, but fresh seafood such as hirame is also popular local cuisine. This is a renowned place I’d love you to try when visiting Teshio. Delicious♪Thank you for the meal🙏 (Visited 2024年3月26日)
