Teshikaga Ramen Main Branch I had heard that this was a very popular ramen restaurant, but since I visited a little later in the evening on a weekday, I was able to get a table without waiting. The restaurant was clean and well kept, and the older ladies serving the customers were exceptionally kind and helpful. We ordered the seafood salt ramen, a soy sauce-based pork ramen, and garlic gyoza. The portions were quite generous compared with those at a typical ramen shop in Japan. As is often the case with ramen in Japan, however, the broth tasted rather salty to me as a Korean visitor. I usually make a point of eating ramen whenever I travel to Japan, but perhaps my expectations were too high, because the food did not leave a particularly strong impression on me. The gyoza was also fairly ordinary. For me, the restaurant’s greatest strengths were the generous portions and the friendly service. I’m sure it is popular for good reason, but the flavors simply did not quite suit my personal taste.

It was raining on the 8th June 2026 and we stopped by this well known ramen restaurant after we had visited lake Akan at around 1:30pm and there was no waiting. We both had the seafood soy sauce ramen and side orders of gyoza and fried chicken. The ramen was tasty, broth was rich and full of bonito flavor in the soy sauce. Both the gyoza and fried chicken were excellent too. Highly recommend to try them. Service was friendly too.

We were staying nearby and had limited dinner options so we drive into Teshikaga to see what we could get. We saw this ramen restaurant and went straight for it. Randomly, we started talking to the owner in the carpark who was returning from his golf game to celebrate the restaurant's 20 year anniversary. We didn't actually know he was the owner but he gave us the warmest welcome, as did his employees. The ramen was delicious. We both got the spicy miso ramen which wasn't too spicy at all. It was packed full of delicious vegetables, meat and the broth was delicious. It's easy to understand why they're celebrating their 20th year... customer service, quality and taste were all excellent. Definitely make it a stop if you're passing through Teshikaga or even roadtripping nearby. I wish them 20 more years successful business! Thank you for the delicious food!

The best ramen of my life. We recently ate at Teshikaga Ramen while visiting northern Hokkaido and everything about it was absolutely incredible. My boyfriend ordered the Hokkaido deer ramen and the deer meat was SO tender. Truly the best deer I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered the shoyu ramen, which was also delicious, rich, comforting, and full of flavor. We also tried the Hokkaido special gyoza, which was delicious, but I have to say the wild garlic gyoza and the deer ramen completely stole the show. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming, and they had an English menu, which we really appreciated since it has honestly been rare for my partner and me to come across during our travels. They also had both floor seating and table seating available. We chose to sit on the floor and it was so comfortable and such a nice experience. Everything was absolutely delicious, the service was warm, and this was easily one of our favorite meals in Japan. We will definitely be coming back again during our time in Hokkaido. Highly, highly recommend.

there was a queue when we got there around lunch time, but it was all very organized - we got a number, got our order taken, amd sat in the picnic table outside drinking cold water from the cooler. we ended up only waiting about 20 minutes. the staff were very nice and friendly, the guy who took our order even gave us stickers :) loved the ramen, and especially loved the gyoza - don't miss out on them. also had the char siu roll and the white wasabi roll - both very good.
