A viewpoint with a panoramic view over Lake Kussharo (屈斜路湖) The weather was good, so the lake surface was softly reflecting light and thin clouds were spread across the sky, which was lovely. Out of my 3 visits, the weather was the best this time, so I think I'll remember it.

My favorite place in the Doto region. I visited while traveling from the Abashiri direction toward Kushiro. In a word, a spectacular view! It's a place where you really feel how vast Hokkaido is, and looking down at Lake Kussharo from the pass is wonderful ☺ From the parking lot, pass through the gift shop and try to go all the way to the observation deck! But personally I like the view from around this marker post better ✨️ Also, the wind seems to blow strongly often, so be careful with hats and the like. When sightseeing in the Doto area, it's a place worth going out of your way for.

I came in February. It was cloudy so I couldn't see the view well, but I think it must be spectacular on a clear day. I'd like to come back on a sunny day for revenge.

It was sunny and also around dusk, so the view was incredibly beautiful❗️ I could clearly see Lake Kussharo and the road (including the hairpin curves). The view on the opposite side of Lake Kussharo was beautiful too❗️ There was a stone monument inscribed with the lyrics of Misora Hibari's song, "Bihoro Pass".

You can enjoy a wonderful view. They say you can see a sky full of stars at night. You get a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Kussharo.
