Good tempura

2026.05.22 ・This is something of a sushi shop and diner, along prefectural road 272 in 寿都町, a little away from the town center. ・It was just before lunchtime on a weekend, and there were already several groups of customers, with more gradually arriving afterward. It must be a popular place that draws quite a crowd for 寿都町. ・This time I ordered 「かっぱ定食」 for 1,500円, with sashimi, soba, and a small side dish, while my wife ordered 「海鮮丼」 for 1,800円. ・カッパ定食 is basically a sashimi set with a small たぬきそば. The sashimi included tuna, scallop, vinegar-cured mackerel, salmon, and yellowtail. None were particularly expensive ingredients, but they were delicious, as you’d expect from a sushi shop’s fish. The rice was slightly chewy and soft, which was spot-on too. The amount of soba was just right, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. ・My wife said her 海鮮丼 didn’t have flashy ingredients either, but was fresh and very satisfying for the price. ・Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much because it’s a small town, but it was a surprisingly good place. ・This has nothing at all to do with the food’s quality, but eating sashimi makes me want to drink Japanese sake, so being the driver was a little tough.

I had かっぱ定食. Sashimi with soba, salad, and 3 small side dishes for 1500円. I visited in winter, but I think the fish might have been fresher during the busy fishing season.

Good food! Good service! Good atmosphere! I had 三食丼! You can choose the three items to your liking, and the thick cuts were satisfying and reasonably priced! There is parking, but it’s easy to mistake the location, so be careful.
