Visited in the afternoon in late month 3. As others have said, the stairs are steep. As a woman in my 30s (not getting enough exercise), I found it a bit tough partway up. The tree branches around the stairs seemed to have been pruned so they wouldn't get in the way. They'll probably grow thick in spring and summer, so I think I came at a good time. The view was really lovely! There's nothing here, but that's what makes it nice. All you hear are the waves, the wind, and birdsong. It's the perfect place when you want to be alone.

Park your car at Ikarikai Parking Park. The area in front of the entrance is at the exit of a bend and the road is narrow, so parking there is dangerous.

The stairs are so narrow that they're difficult for larger people They're steep too, so people with leg problems shouldn't push themselves Honestly, there are plenty of places around here with good views that are easier to climb than this one

Kotaishi Observatory. Located at Kannonzaki in Kotaishi, Shiriuchi Town. From Ikarikai Parking Park, walk 100m toward Kotaishi to reach the trail entrance. Even with rest stops along the way, you will reach the observatory in just under 10 minutes. From the observatory, you can see not only the Tsugaru Strait but also Ikarikai Parking Park, Ikarikai Island, Cape Yagoshi, and more. The observatory also has an information board about the Tsugaru Strait.
