"We recommend the miso katsu ramen. Many of the unusual ramen dishes were developed at truck drivers' request. Be sure to try them when you're out for a drive! Payment method: cash only"

A ramen shop popular with locals, along the national highway on the outskirts of town. The miso ramen with its rich miso flavor is delicious. The miso katsu gyoza ramen left me full. You can also order a large serving or 2 portions of noodles, so big eaters are covered.

Passing here for the first time in a while, I became curious, made a U-turn, and gave it a try. I had shoyu katsu ramen, and my wife had miso yasai ramen. The shoyu katsu ramen was delicious. The fat from the cutlet mixed into the broth nicely. The miso yasai ramen apparently wasn't to my wife's taste.

Delicious ramen. A classic, light style with depth of flavor. I had miso chashu. The miso was tasty, but the shio yasai my companion had tasted outstanding. It felt like carefully made ramen with no compromises. We entered right at opening time on Saturday (11), and it quickly filled up. A popular place. I pass along Route 38 less often because of the expressway, but I definitely want to come back.

I visited for 2 weeks in a row and had shoyu katsu ramen and shoyu chashu men. I thought the shoyu broth here was deeply flavorful and very delicious. Ramen with a cutlet is unusual, and the cutlet gets tastier as it absorbs the broth. The chashu is thick, substantial, and satisfyingly chewy. The fact that it isn't the meltingly soft kind is another plus. The supporting menma and chopped green onions do a good job. The shop's name comes from National Route 38 alongside it; police lie in wait around here, so watch your speed.
