Ramen-Tonta stands out not only for its delicious food but also for the nostalgic atmosphere it creates. Stepping inside feels like a trip back to the Showa era, with an eclectic display of vintage toys adorning the walls, evoking a sense of warmth and whimsy. The restaurant’s specialty, its rich and flavorful miso ramen, is a favorite among regulars, offering a perfect balance of savory broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The gyoza here is also a crowd-pleaser, with crispy golden edges and a juicy, flavorful filling that pairs perfectly with the ramen. Despite the high quality of the food, Ramen-Tonta maintains very affordable prices, making it a go-to spot for both locals and visitors. Its eye-catching facade, with its vibrant signage, ensures the restaurant is hard to miss, adding to its charm and appeal. Whether you're here for the food or the nostalgic ambiance, Ramen-Tonta offers a unique dining experience that's both satisfying and affordable.
View on GoogleI'd known the shop was there for a long time but always just drove past, and today I stopped by for the first time. The exterior of the shop is full of Showa-era vibes! Going inside was even more surprising‼️ Showa-era characters were crammed in everywhere ^_^ I had the most popular ramen, tonkotsu miso, and the second most popular, tonkotsu shoyu, and it was ramen where you could taste the owner's dedication just like the dedication shown in the shop 😃
View on Google2026/4 Tonkotsu shoyu ramen Thick curly noodles with high water content and a thick tonkotsu soup. The curly noodles carry the thick soup to your mouth along with them, delicious! Lots of bean sprouts too, so it's plenty filling. The shop is packed with antiques? For enthusiasts. The parking lot is large, so even trucks can come!
View on GoogleI had the tonkotsu miso ramen The soup is a little rich with a bit of spiciness Retro signs and the like are displayed inside the shop
View on GoogleI had the ramen and chashu don set 🤔 but it wasn't to my taste. First, the ramen wasn't hot, and the chashu was hard, smelled of meat, and had no flavor, and the bowl just had two slices of thick-cut chashu on it, so rice alone would have been fine. The shop's atmosphere, with old-fashioned signs stuck up or hanging, probably collected as a hobby, felt like "eating in an antique museum". For the sake of learning, people with that hobby should go and see. The spices on the table, along with their saucers, were dirty and messy so I didn't feel like using them 😩 I also borrowed the restroom, which was Japanese-style and dirty around it. I'd like them to clean it every day.
