本場・大阪のとろとろたこ焼き なこたこHonba Oosaka Notorotorotako Yaki Nakotako
Takoyaki recreating the flavors of Osaka, the owner's hometown. With its rich dashi flavor and fluffy, melting texture, this takoyaki is so soft you cannot lift it with chopsticks. Our shop started out operating from a food truck. Winters in the north drop below freezing. Knowing that the takoyaki could cool down between purchase and arrival home, we researched a recipe that stays delicious even when cold. Besides the classic sauce-and-mayo flavor, we also offer the quietly popular salt-and-mayo flavor, mustard mayo, takosen, and tamasen. Monthly limited-time flavors have also begun! A takoyaki shop in Shintotsukawa along the national highway. It used to operate only from a food truck, so I could only buy some when they set up near where I lived. To exaggerate, it was a shop that appeared and disappeared unpredictably, so I rarely got to eat their takoyaki. Now they've opened here, and I'm grateful that I can go buy some whenever I feel like it. They still put a lot of effort into food-truck sales, though, so the familiar BMW box van is still going strong. The octopus character on the sign is huge. Maybe as big as a mysterious giant octopus (haha). This is a takeaway-only shop. They have lots of takoyaki variations and a menu full of treats for takoyaki lovers. This time I GOT the classic sauce mayo and the lighter salt mayo!!! When I tried them back home, they were soft and melting, and really delicious!! So fragrant that my appetite's brakes broke and I ended up eating too much. Next time I'd like to try more varieties. By the way, Plank, who used to sell pancakes in Takikawa, still sells delicious pancakes inside this shop. Check out the refrigerator at the side inside. The shop is small, so visit one group at a time. Visited again and had salt mayo and sauce mayo. Delicious as ever.
View on GoogleAfter eating from their food truck at Niwayama in Naie during GW, this was my first visit to the Shintotsukawa shop. The takoyaki was delicious, with an irresistibly melting texture😊 This time I chose “mustard mayo takoyaki”. By the time I got home on my motorcycle, it had almost cooled down, but it was still melting and delicious. Warm it in the microwave for about 20 seconds and it's even better. The shop is really tiny and only 1 person can enter at a time, but there were also pancakes for sale in the display case inside, and they looked delicious.
View on GoogleNakotako. It's a takoyaki shop, right? Oh, the sign says takoyaki too. No way, there's no way a place like this has pancakes. But I was told to buy some, so maybe they do. No, no, this is a melting takoyaki place, right? But they said something about peaches, Do you have pancakes? Yes, in the refrigerator beside you. They do have them! And limited-time peach pancakes, at that. The peaches are perfectly ripe and, of course, delicious. The pancakes are fluffy too and disappear. Once they disappear, the peaches remain. By the end, the texture leaves you unsure whether you're eating peaches or pancakes. But apparently the takoyaki is the hugely popular item.
View on GoogleLate October 2025 Shintotsukawa, Hokkaido, has a history of settlement by people from Nara Prefecture. Now, in the Reiwa era, a new Kansai spirit is emerging here! A new eight-legged arrival from the “kingdom of flour-based food” has appeared along National Route 275! No, Four legs! No, An assassin! It's an octopus. _🐙Authentic Osaka melting takoyaki, Nakotako🐙_ There is parking for a few cars beside the shop, and its food truck, the shop's other face, is parked there. I, Umeshiro, was born in Otaru, Hokkaido, but lived in Sakai, Osaka, during my preschool years. So you could say I learned the Kansai dialect before learning Japanese. That's why I've been eating takoyaki since before mayonnaise became a standard topping. My verdict on this shop's takoyaki: Exceptionally delicious for a melting-style takoyaki shop! 【Mustard mayo】 I'd had light soba for lunch, leaving my body in a Gandhi-level healthy state, so at snack time I wanted a bit of a kick and had mustard mayonnaise. So good〜 The dashi flavor of the batter, the richly flavored octopus that some might find a little small, and the mustard's nasal punch that mercilessly tries to kill your nose—this is delicious takoyaki〜 One group fills the shop, so after ordering and receiving your food, put your payment on the counter—an octopus “oku to pasu” pun! Currently you eat in your car or take it home, but if you could eat it freshly cooked inside, it would get full marks♪ It was delicious! Thank you for the meal~🙏 Delicious happiness-filled takoyaki run by a gently mannered owner, which will surely keep going, myaku-myaku, in Shintotsukawa♪
View on GoogleThe takoyaki was melting and delicious. They sell pancakes here as well as takoyaki. Next time I'll buy pancakes too.
