Not so many tables. Set menu with Soy sauce steamed is coming with little unique soba dessert. Quality of soba itself, I can not say gorgeous!!! So if they have sarashina option and comfortable chairs/ sheets (not like school furniture) , I would like to repeat there. However, Noren and owner atmosphere is lovely. Feels potential restaurant.

Visited in early 2026.06 Opening hours: 11:00〜15:00, closes when sold out. ※No reservations; closed on Thursdays. When you think of Shintoku, you naturally think of soba. This is the only restaurant in Shintoku serving handmade soba made with 100% buckwheat flour. This time I ordered 「ごぼう天そばと炊き込みご飯セット」. It was a very satisfying set with flavorful 100% buckwheat soba, crispy burdock tempura, soba dango with a simple, rustic taste, and well-seasoned rice cooked with ingredients. I've visited almost all the famous soba restaurants in town. The soba at 十箱 has a less pronounced character in a good way, and I found it easy to enjoy even for people unfamiliar with 100% buckwheat soba. At the same time, the portions are fairly substantial, so I think it offers a high level of satisfaction. The interior is a lovely, stylish space that feels bright, open, and clean. There are tables, raised floor seating, and counter seats. The counter has a display using buckwheat grains, showing attention to detail befitting a soba restaurant. Things to know before visiting: you take off your shoes and change into slippers when entering. The parking lot is across the road, and groups of 5 or more cannot dine here.

This is a delicious soba restaurant. The staff's service was good too. The restaurant was fairly busy, and when I arrived at 11:30, it was full. They gave me a pager like those used at food courts or service-area restaurants, and I waited about 10 minutes before entering. The photos show zaru soba with assorted tempura, cheese soba, and a set of cold burdock tempura soba with seasoned rice. (The seasoned rice set came with sobagaki topped with chunky sweet red bean paste.) The burdock tempura and seasoned rice sold out while we were there. When I left around 12:30, they had closed because the soba was sold out, so you might not get to eat unless you arrive during the 11 o'clock hour.

I found it on Google Maps and visited. The beautifully maintained exterior feels welcoming, and you take off your shoes at the entrance before going in. Sunlight reaches deep into the interior, making it very bright, and the high ceiling gives it an open feel. Since the area is famous for soba, my expectations grew, and the food I ordered was just as delicious as I'd hoped!! It's not somewhere I can easily visit for 「one more time」, but if I have a chance to pass nearby, I'll definitely stop by again!

I've wanted to visit this soba restaurant for a long time. My wish finally came true when a friend brought me here. We arrived before the 11:00 opening, but about 6 groups were already lined up outside. We waited in strong winds and were able to enter after about 5 minutes. There were around ５ tables, and we sat at the counter. The stylish interior kept me from getting bored while waiting. The soba was just the thickness I like and was probably 100% buckwheat. I had the burdock tempura soba and seasoned rice set. It had a firm bite, and I really liked it. Next time I'll try ordering hot soba!
