The food? The best (especially the Shogayaki and katsu-curry..!) The price? The best. The portion size? The best (especially the katsu-curry) The atmosphere? The best (very friendly family atmosphere, very warm). Park across the street.
View on GoogleAtmosphere very cozy and warm. Feels like home. Food taste like home as well. Very friendly owners, made us feel welcomed.
View on GoogleI went in because of the high review ratings on Google Maps. It looks completely Showa-era, but it seems to be run by 2 pleasant women. My family had katsudon, and I had vegetable ramen; both were very delicious despite being lightly seasoned. Tea and water are available on a self-service basis. Payment is cash only. You can use the public parking lot across from the restaurant. It was very busy even though it was before noon on a weekday.
View on GoogleI went for lunch on a weekday. You can use the free public parking lot across from the restaurant. Inside, there are counter seats and a tatami seating area. There were many local customers. This time I chose katsudon. The katsudon is seasoned a little sweet. The katsu is delicious, so I think the katsu curry would be delicious too. It's a restaurant loved by the locals.
View on GoogleA country diner with 3 generations of the family serving customers. I had salt-broth vegetable ramen and a half-size fried rice. The salt-broth ramen was delicious, with the sweetness of the vegetables infused into the broth. The fried rice had a sweetness to it, and I regretted not getting a full portion instead of a half. Usually it's the grandmother and her daughter. After school, the elementary-school-age granddaughter joins in serving customers. This granddaughter serves so capably and politely; it's really heartwarming. How do you raise a child to turn out so lovely? She's truly the restaurant's star girl.
