I ordered the chamen and chahan set. The chamen was described as an original soul food, but it's basically ankake yakisoba. It's different from Muroran's chamen. Muroran's is several levels tastier. The chahan was a little cool, but tasted good. Still, I won't be returning. The prices are reasonable.
View on GoogleIt's a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, but the portions are generous and delicious. The local specialty chamen was popular and tasty. The kani-tama and noodle dishes were delicious too, and lots of local people were there.
View on GoogleThis shop is known for serving chamen, called the Hidaka area's soul food. Chamen is ramen with a thick sauce. There used to be an affiliated Hokkaido Chamen Sohonten in Sapporo (sadly now closed), and I'd wanted to eat at Dairyu someday, so this was a long-awaited visit! The special chamen interested me too, but since it was my first visit, I ordered chamen. It came on an iron plate and was piping hot, prompting a roof-of-the-mouth burn warning, but mixed with the sauce, it was delicious! Mustard and vinegar were served alongside, so I could enjoy changing the flavor too. Since they also run a noodle-making business called Ichijo Seimen, I could really feel their dedication to the noodles. I also added ruan zha ji, boneless zangi, from the à la carte menu. It was delicious on its own, but also with the accompanying salt, lemon, or ketchup. The ketchup deserves special mention: it made it like a corn dog, something I could keep munching as a snack! You can tell it's a popular shop loved by locals, filling up at lunchtime. They also sold frozen chamen.
View on GoogleThe shrimp fried rice is just so ridiculously good that I forget to take a photo every time and start eating, so I still haven't managed to get a picture💦 My husband also forgets to photograph his yakisoba with thick sauce and starts eating, haha. Then a few days later, we get an irresistible craving again and find ourselves drawn back‼️‼️ 大龍 is No.1 for addictiveness❗ Next time I'll get that photo❗ Probably… haha.
View on GoogleIt was lunchtime before we went to see the cherry blossoms along 二十間道路, so we searched for a nearby restaurant and gave this place a try. It felt like a Chinese restaurant rooted in the local community. Quite a few cars were parked outside, but inside there was also a raised floor seating area, and everything apart from the chair seating was empty. We were the only ones waiting, but it took ages to be seated. Staff walked past without saying welcome or asking us to wait a moment, so we wrote down our name and waited. The person who seated us and the person who brought our food were pleasant, but it was disappointing that the young woman who seemed to be a part-timer didn't even smile. Apparently the special charmen has lots of seafood. However, it comes on a fairly large plate, so it gradually gets cold. It has a salty, fairly light flavor. The sauce on the tenshinhan was salty and strongly flavored. I didn't notice whether there were lunch sets such as fried rice+charmen. Locals seemed to come for charmen, ramen, and gyoza. The restaurant seems to have been around for a long time and may be a local favorite… but I didn't think it was worth making a special trip from far away.
