Soup Curry GARAKU at Hotalu Street was probably worth the wait. Despite the nearly one-hour wait for about 12 groups ahead of us, largely due to a small seating capacity, the meal lived up to our expectations. The soup curry was rich, flavourful, and deeply comforting, making it an excellent choice during the winter cold. Ingredients were well cooked, portions were satisfying, and the warming spices really hit the spot after a day out in the snow. A popular spot for good reason — patience is required, but it’s a great winter meal and one we would happily return for.
View on GoogleAbsolutely wonderful! I enjoy my spicy food and was suggested by staff i try the 4/10. It was tasty, flavoursome & had a good amount of spice. The meal was enjoyable and well worth it. Highly recommend. No credit card ability so we paid cash
View on GoogleWell worth the wait. One of the best and tastiest Japanese curry. Food took about 20 mins to come. Eating curry in the winter really warms the body. Staff was friendly too. Highly recommend !
View on GoogleFind the curry is slightly on the salty side. Soup curry portion is reasonable sausage is way too small. Like kids size. Meat of the tonkatsu is tough and not properly cut. So part of the meat's veins are not be to eaten. English menu available.
View on GoogleTried the Hokkaido style soup curry for the first time at Soup Curry Garaku within Hoshino Tomamu and it was delicious! We ordered the chicken, vegetable, and pork belly and all three were great. The chicken was incredibly fresh and tender, while the pork belly had a melt-in-your-mouth softness that was just heavenly. Since we couldn't get a chance to try it in Sapporo due to the always long queue, we decided to have it here. We visited during an odd hour (around 4pm) and there were quite a few empty tables, which made for a peaceful and enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try Hokkaido style soup curry.
