Loved the Italian style BBQ! The steak fillet was very juicy and delicious! Atmosphere was great too! We went at 5pm and there was no wait!
View on GoogleOne of the main food choices in tomamu resort. The pasta is tasty and quite affordable. So kudos to that. Did not try the waygu beef cos it was NOT affordable (personally 😅). The ambiance was nice, and the waiter staff was kind to us. 😊 The restaurant manager can be quite 'firm' though, if you read other reviews. 😅 If you take queue number, you have to stay and wait bcos if they call you and you are not here, the manager cancels your number....
View on GoogleChoose white sauces or olive oil sauces, and don’t forget to try the Hokkaido local cheeses. And get the potatoes with raclette cheese! Italian food and Hokkaido produce is a match made in heaven, but understand that this is fusion - the best kind, and not authentic Italian food. Go with the right mindset and you will have the best night.
View on GoogleSmall cozy place tucked in the midst of the Tomamu ski resorts in Hokkaido serving Japanese style Italian food. It's a fairly small restaurant with nice wooden structures, giving off cozy vibes and a nice place to have a family dinner. Visited there during June of 2024, and had dinner there while staying at the Risonare Tomamu resort. We ordered a few pizzas, pastas, salads, salmon carpaccio, vegetables and meat covered with raclette cheese, and the cheese platter. My favorite among them were the Japanese style pastas, packed with fresh seafood from Hokkaido and some others with cream & tomato sauces (other than the pastas already available there's a separate page on the menu to customize your pasta with selection of noodles, ingredients and sauces). The salads and salmon carpaccio were good, made with really fresh ingredients. The pizzas were alright, it's a 8-9 inch pizza baked in an electric oven; the toppings were quite good but maybe the pizza isn't their most famous dish. I wasn't a fan of the cheese platter, which consisted of locally made cheeses like mozzarella, Gouda and Camembert that in my opinion didn't taste anything like their European counterparts. But all in all, it was a nice Japanese style Italian place, and would definitely recommend the pastas there, and I absolutely appreciate the fact that you can customize it to your personal tastes which not many places offer that flexibility. The service good, however when planning on dining there in a group, efforts should be taken to arrive there early as it's a small place and you'd have to wait your turn since they don't accept reservations.
View on Google- The pastas were average, and the pizzas were bad (they didn’t even have the standard Diavola) - The staff are rude and stand-offish, which is very strange to experience in Japan. - The method of queuing is an iPad at the door, where you can enter your details and you get a queue number. - There is no waiting area, so you’re standing at the toilet door if you want to stay inside from the cold - Their desserts were quite decent, with the chocolate lava cake the highlight - Note, all the desserts are VERY small - Also, they don’t serve any recognizable wines, so you’re stuck with the - Rather tasteless Hokkaido wines
