Part of the way is gravel, but the road surface is good There are toilets, but the men's was Japanese squat-style The toilet with the wheelchair symbol was locked It was cloudy that day The lawn and other areas are neatly maintained
View on GoogleThere are many places with 360° views, but here the scenery is magnificent and wonderful no matter where you look. If you want to admire 十勝平野, I definitely recommend this spot.
View on GoogleThe weather was so good that I wanted to go up to 마루야마 전망대, even though it was early April. The snow had not melted, so nobody knew whether it was possible to get there. I took the 네무로 본선 and arrived at 토카치시미즈 역. I went straight up to a taxi driver parked in front of the station and spoke to him. I returned in late June and was happy to see cows grazing peacefully. He said he didn't know because the snow had not melted, but I thought it would be such a shame to come all this way from Seoul, Korea, without seeing that view. Even if circumstances beyond my control prevented me from seeing it, I felt I wouldn't regret trying, so I paid 1.5만 yen for a round-trip taxi ride and went. The weather had been warm recently, so enough snow had melted for me to make the trip. Life is a challenge.. I probably won't forget that wide-open landscape until the day I die.
View on GoogleA hidden-gem observatory. Nobody was there, but it was neatly maintained. The toilet was out of order. There's a little dirt road at the entrance, but an ordinary motorcycle can get through. A panoramic view of 十勝平野; lovely scenery.
View on GoogleA stunning view awaits beyond the gravel road. From the observatory, you can see all of 十勝平野, and even in spring on my previous visit, I could see vividly green fields. However, the road to the observatory goes from gravel to pavement, with part of it unpaved. I think paving the gravel road would bring in more tourists…
