As a foreigner here, the couple serving is is very warm and welcoming. The soba I had is a very huge bowl of hot soba soup; kashiwa-ten soba Worth the price and portion. And they were very accommodating with our broken Japanese Prices are a range of 700-1150 yen Oh and it seems noodles are handmade.
View on GoogleToday's lunch, the mori soba & butadon set, left me very satisfied. Since it's summer vacation, the owners' elementary-school grandchild was helping out as an adorable server and took our order, which gave me a heartwarming feeling.
View on GoogleA local spot known only to those in the know! A soba shop loved by locals. There's parking. Clean interior with counter, table, and tatami seating. ⚀ Tenzaru 1350 yen The thin-cut soba uses buckwheat flour from Shikaoi. Firm texture, smooth going down✨ The tsuyu is fragrant, with an exquisite balance of sweetness and saltiness. The tempura is freshly fried and crispy, with a light batter. ⚀Katsudon set 1100 yen Not just soba—the rice bowls are popular too! Cash only
View on GoogleTempura soba is too heavy for my stomach, so it's a big help that they'll fry even just one item. This time, shiso and shrimp. Crispy and tasty, y'know. The parking lot is spacious too.
View on GoogleLunchtime came during a drive, so I made my first visit here and ordered tenzaru soba. Instead of water, cold soba tea came out, raising my expectations. Before long, the tenzaru soba arrived, with the tempura taking center stage. The tempura's ingredients and frying were excellent. It's a shame there wasn't a dedicated tempura dipping sauce and it shared the soba sauce, but even so, it matched the tempura very well. The soba also had a nice texture and I enjoyed it. If I come to Shihoro, I'd like to visit again.
