I came on a coworker's recommendation. It's a ramen with a delicious, gentle soup that soaks into your body. The shio ramen has a mild saltiness accompanied by the sweetness of fat and vegetables, a flavor that feels like warm tenderness. As you keep drinking the soup, layer upon layer of umami builds up on your tongue, and your mouth fills with a multi-layered richness. Even after drinking up all the soup, your tongue doesn't feel any stinging. The vibe is less "delicious in a season when you're dripping with sweat" and more "delicious to eat when you're longing for human warmth." It's not a flavor right at the center of current trends. People used to the type of ramen that gives you a refreshing kick or a blood sugar spike that leaves you dizzy might be taken aback. I'd really like people who are fed up with harsh, intense flavors to try it. The white noodles look like they contain little or no kansui or egg. They're made to be chewed over and over to enjoy the taste of the wheat. Thanks for the meal.

Shoyu ramen 700 yen Half rice 100 yen A ramen shop in the middle of Shihoro town. Run by an elderly couple. Saturday lunchtime, 2 other groups There was a banner saying homemade noodles, and indeed they're distinctive noodles for an independent shop like this. Thick, high-hydration straight noodles with chew, quite filling The soup also has a bit of its own character: the shoyu has that basic animal-based taste, but there's also fish powder, giving it a seafood flavor. It's elaborate, the level is fairly high, and it's a flavor I like The green onions, menma, and chashu are tasty It has the feel of an unassuming, not-that-popular ramen shop, but you can eat carefully made ramen here They gave me a small chocolate along with my change

On the last day of a little trip with my daughter, all that was left was to head home! But we got hungry before that, so we stopped by. Walking in, it was pure Showa era. Zero other customers. We sat down and ordered, but the old lady served us water without a word; we ordered the vegetable ramen with salt, the chashu-men with shoyu, and gyoza. Hmm, the shoyu was shoyu, but it wasn't good. I didn't like the noodles. Apparently they're homemade. The chashu was... 3 thin slices of pork belly. My daughter didn't like the noodles either. The gyoza were average. But... since they were cooked stuck together, the parts between the gyoza weren't browned and were white and soggy... When we paid, they gave us 2 chocolates and 2 candies each. Oh, and while we were eating, the old man and old lady were glued to the TV. Baseball, at that... Never going again.

Both the inside and outside look old, so I went in without expectations, but it was really delicious, so I want to go again★ The menma is quite sour, so it might be hit or miss, and the noodles are straight and chewy. The chopsticks... well, you can choose, so it's OK. They gave me chocolate after I paid.

At least ⭐️4 stars or more (^^) I had the shrimp salt ramen, and the soup is delicious all the way to the end without getting boring. The soup, packed with sakura shrimp and fragrant with sesame, is so delicious you can't stop drinking it, and the noodles are homemade too — the moderately chewy straight noodles were irresistible (^.^) On my way back from a business trip, before driving to Sapporo, honestly I just picked a place I could pop into quickly, but good old-school shops like this are pretty hard to find at roadside stations, right lol Thank you for having me, I enjoyed it‼️ Thanks for the meal (^.^)
