For good service

I visited "Japanese Restaurant Teshio" for lunch. This time I ordered the "Steak-style Suffolk 250g". It lavishly uses Suffolk lamb from Shibetsu, cooked to a perfect doneness, fragrant on the outside and juicy inside. I hardly noticed the typical lamb gaminess, and the umami really stood out. It was very delicious. The portion was ample and satisfying, a highly gratifying dish. I enjoyed a relaxed lunch in the calm interior. It's a restaurant I'd want to revisit. No matter how many times I eat it, it's consistently delicious, and I felt once again that if you want Suffolk, this is the place. The meat is tender without gaminess, so I think even people who don't like lamb can eat it easily. The doneness is perfect, and the flavor spreads the more you chew. The portion is solid, and the satisfaction is outstanding. The calm atmosphere of the restaurant, where you can eat slowly, is also a plus. If you want to taste Suffolk lamb in Shibetsu, this is a renowned restaurant I can recommend without a doubt. I'd like to keep coming regularly. Revisited September 3, 2026 This time too I ordered the "Steak-style Suffolk". I've used this place several times before, and once again it's as delicious as ever! The Suffolk meat is substantial yet its umami comes through, and eaten fresh off the grill it's simply the best. Because it's finished steak-style, you can enjoy Suffolk in a different way from the usual Jingisukan. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to really savor the meat. It's wonderful to be able to eat such delicious meat at lunch. The portion is solid, and I felt fully satisfied after finishing. No matter how many times I eat it, it has a reliability that makes me think "it's really good". Even when I've come from far away, it's a taste I want to eat again. I had the "Steak-style Suffolk" again this time, but next time I'd like to try other items too. If you're having lunch around Shibetsu, it's a place worth keeping on your list. Water and tea are self-service, but there was also free coffee and such. The Suffolk set was a bit strongly seasoned with salt and pepper, but because it's Suffolk, it had no mutton flavor and was very delicious. It might be unsatisfying for those who like the taste of lamb... The curry nan soba came with one inari, which made me happy! The soba was handmade Sarashina soba, smooth going down and very delicious.

The Suffolk bowl seems to be the famous dish here, but my partner had the oroshi ten soba and I had the atsumori soba. The tempura is delicious.
