Walking around the area on a cold and windy day, we were happy to find this place open The woman was very kind and invited us in, we didn’t have to wait outside The food was very good and she even gave me a little hand warmer to carry in my pocket. We also had a great view of the heron rookery across the street

Well executed pasta dishes at a great price. Service was exceptional. There is just one quirky thing, you order the food while outside and you stay outside until your food is ready then you go inside to eat. The food is brought to your table as soon as you sit down. This is not because the place was full, it was empty. There was another couple waiting in their car who arrived before we did and when their food was ready the server retrieved them from their car and brought them in to dine. Same for us when our food was ready. We waited on the porch which was fine as we had lovely weather.

A quaint Italian restaurant literally out in the middle of nowhere - well it's along the main road between the Toro train station and Toro lake - which is pretty much nowhere. The food is pretty decent. Had the seafood spaghetti and chef's salad. The salad was fantastic, a mussel or two in the spaghetti tasted a bit "weird" - I think the spices got "caught" up in them - and a few pieces of sliced scallops tasted a bit too fishy for my liking.

Delicious pasta, ingredients were all very fresh. Owner is very friendly and tried her best to help us even though she couldn't speak English. No English menu but use Google translate, it was pretty accurate :)

I can speak a little Japanese but I don't think you'd need it here. Very welcoming staff, English menu available, simple and cozy. Made fresh too! I was even able to alter my meal slightly (leave out the bacon pieces from the napolitana), which the waitress was very happy to oblige - she was super helpful and friendly. The meal itself was delicious and a good portion for what you pay for. If you're nearby, I would highly recommend having lunch here.
