You can get a close-up view of Ezojika, making it an interesting stop if you’re in the area. While you can’t go inside the enclosures, there’s plenty of opportunities to observe these beautiful deer up close. Since it’s a farm, you’ll need to be ready for some typical farm smells, but it’s worth a quick stop rather than an extended stay. Perfect for a brief visit as you pass by!

View on GoogleIt's in front of Oshinkoshin Falls. On the road by the Ezo Deer Farm, wild deer routinely wander around so you need to be careful, but the deer here are enclosed by electric fences and wire mesh, so it's safe. There's no reception or anything; you can park freely and watch the deer.

View on GoogleThis isn't a facility to protect deer; deer caught in traps are kept here to be turned into gibier (game meat). They sell it as gibier in the hut right after you enter. This time it had already closed for the day. There's also a free rest area where you can relax while watching the deer. It's an initiative to eat and make effective use of Ezo deer, which have become too numerous. I've heard that one reason brown bears have been coming into human living areas in recent years is the increase in Ezo deer. I'd like to eat Ezo deer gibier with gratitude.
