went there for dinner, it was very yummy overall. we got the gyoza, chicken skewer (came as 2 sticks, more like chicken skewers), salty salmon and curry katsu rice. 👍🏻👍🏻 gyoza was really yummy, crispy, fat and juicy, tastes like home cooked food. we even contemplated getting 1 more bowl! 👍🏻👍🏻chicken skewers was great, tender, well-seasoned, tastes like cooked food too! we got another bowl! 🤔curry katsu rice was quite nice, crispy the curry was a little vinegary, overall it was quite pleasant but not very wowing and special. quite mediocre. if you’re craving it you can get it but if you’re looking for a good one you won’t need to get it. 😔salty salmon was really salty didn’t really like it. but might be okay for some who like salty food service: there is no english translation so you’ll need to google translate however the aunty is very sweet and would help you. we ordered 1 more chicken wing/skewer but the aunty forgot, but she kindly let us cancel the second order. it is run by 2 people one aunty and one uncle so service might be a little slow. we had to wait a while to be seated despite there having an uncleared empty table (they were quite busy). the food also took sometime to arrive but they were all piping hot and delicious!

We hadn't booked and it was full when we arrived but the owner was very kind and told us to sit at the entrance and wait for a bit - which we did and in less than 20 min we had a table and ordered some delicious mackerel, salted salmon and ochazuke. We also tried the local beers - fun and really good! There was a lovely atmosphere inside. Strongly recommend!

The quality of the food didn't live up to the high expectations of other reviewers, and the prices weren't particularly low. This may be due to the prices and quality in the tourist area. Despite not offering anything out of the ordinary, the restaurant still attracts many bookings. The atmosphere is that of a typical izakaya with home-style cooking. Despite being run by just two people, the service was attentive and polite.

This is a gem of japan! After travelling for one month in the country, and struggling a bit with finding good food, we landed here by chance: starving, without a reservation, and seeing zero seats available. The owner was super nice and accepted to host us for dinner on a later hour when tables wood free up. We had delicious meals: sashimi was super fresh and the taste just amazing, the bowl of rice with fish and caviar was superb, and the same can be said for their ramen and gyoza! We ended up eating there for our whole stay in the area, having fun chat with the lovely couple who owns the place. Atmosphere is great and food is authentic and good, with vibes straight from a Miyazaki movie. Prices are great as well for the high quality of food, this is a must go place if you are staying near Shiretoko national park.
