Risshozan Park and Risshozan Observatory offer an elevated escape with panoramic views of the town and the Sea of Japan. The park itself is a relaxing green space, ideal for a short walk or a quiet break. The highlight is the observatory, where you can enjoy wide, unobstructed views of Setana’s coastline and surrounding landscape. On clear days, the scenery feels expansive and rewarding, making the short visit worthwhile. Stopping here gave us a nice change of perspective from the usual coastal drive. The view from the observatory was calm and refreshing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to slow down and just enjoy the moment.

An observation deck at the far end of the campground. You can drive right up to it. It was raining that day, so visibility wasn't great, but apparently you can see Okushiri Island in good weather.

This was my 2nd visit, in early May. The weather was good and the scenery was wonderful. Camping is also possible, and several families were staying in the bungalows.

It caught my attention while I was driving during GW, so I stopped by. The view from the observation deck is good. You can also camp in the observation deck area, and 5、６ people had pitched tents. There are cottages too, so it looks good for families in summer.

It's quiet. There was no one around, which actually made me worried (haha) Spectacular views, strong wind, lots of bugs. Definitely stop by if you're passing through this area!
