The locomotive🚂 was beautifully and neatly preserved. There was also a park, so we enjoyed ourselves.

Valuable Japanese National Railways heritage has been preserved. Permission is required to view the inside of the building.

Unfortunately, it was closed that day, so I couldn't see the exhibits. The スユニ and DE10 displays might be quite unusual. The rolling stock and park are clean.

It's preserved in relatively clean condition. There were lots of cobwebs in the steam locomotive's cab, so I decided not to go in. The DE10 nameplate was missing on one side. Did someone take it?

佐呂間駅(さろまえき) was a station on the 湧網線 of Japanese National Railways (国鉄). In Showa 11 (1936), it opened as 中佐呂間駅(なかさろまえき) when the Ministry of Railways' 湧網西線 was extended between 計呂地駅~佐呂間駅. In Showa 28 (1953), the extension between 佐呂間駅~下佐呂間駅 (later 浜佐呂間駅) led to the line being renamed 湧網線, and the station was accordingly renamed 佐呂間駅. In Showa 62 (1987), the station closed when the entire 湧網線 was discontinued. The image was taken in March around Showa 54. I only photographed the station nameboard from inside the train. I also uploaded 2 photos of the views from the train between this station and 中湧別駅.
