Is worth stopping for 5 mins. Nice view of the frozen lake in winter
View on GoogleNice view of the lake, not really a must, but if you're around and want a quick view, í recommend it, but don't expect anything amazing without the sakuras
View on GoogleThe left turn from Route 238 is hard to spot. Then you head up a fairly narrow, unpaved road. There's an observation deck when you arrive, but I hesitated over where to park so much that I mistook it for parking for lodging or a café. The observation deck was more substantial than I'd expected, and although the harbor is right in front, I thought the view was good. If it's on your way, I think it's good enough that you won't regret stopping.
View on GoogleI stopped by during a trip to Hokkaido. This was my 2nd visit, after 4 years. Last time I visited because the Lake Saroma observation deck was under construction and inaccessible. This time I went to the new Lake Saroma observation deck, but thick fog prevented me from seeing the lake, so I came here again. Tomibushi fishing port and Lake Saroma looked just as they had before. I still can't forget the spectacular view of Lake Saroma I saw when I first came 9 years ago, so I plan to come back for another try.
View on GoogleIt's in a hard-to-find location, but entry was free. The harbor and sea were visible and beautiful.
