An amazing experience. The owner and staff don't speak English, but the service was great. The customers at the next table helped translate. Tonight I experienced Japanese friendliness. Traveling is all about experiencing local food and culture. The charcoal-grilled yakiniku was delicious. I recommend the chicken dishes: chicken hearts, chicken gizzards, chicken skin, and miso chicken. The cheese tomato salad was also really good. Will come back next time!
View on GoogleAn old-fashioned, cozy little place where you grill on a shichirin at tables in a raised tatami area. Unfortunately there's no sunken kotatsu-style seating, so sitting for a long time felt a bit tough. The recommended horumon, the premium horumon, is crunchy and chewy, a texture I personally love. They also have tontoro, pork tongue, shin skirt, yagen, marucho, and more at cheap prices, and the rice portions felt bigger compared to other places. The beer mugs were ice-cold and the beer was delicious. Even eating a lot, it was very reasonable at around 5000 yen for two.
View on GoogleThe gizzards are cut small, so you can eat them right after a quick grill. Very tasty! Try the cold tofu, cold noodles, daikon salad, gizzards, and liver! The salt horumon had a texture similar to mino (beef tripe).
View on GoogleEvery yakiniku place was full before the long weekend, and I finally found this one, Sumika in Hiragishi. A small interior with 6 raised tatami tables. There's a counter, but it had pretty much turned into a work table. The meat came out a bit slowly, and the lack of air conditioning was seriously rough.
View on Google(2022) You can eat meat for cheap ヽ(*´▽)ノ♪ How done you grill your meat on the shichirin is "up to You♪" More relaxing and filling than going to some fancy yakiniku place♪ Thanks for the meal (〃´o`)=3
