Visited with a subordinate from work after making a reservation. There are about 6 counter seats, close to the owner, and it was a lovely space. The food, service, and atmosphere were all impeccable, and I felt that the food and drinks had been carefully developed and refined. I also thought the customers visiting spoke to how good this restaurant is. I’ll visit again when I get the chance. Ahhh, that was delicious!

Visited at 18:30 on a weekday with a reservation made by a client. We had a course meal. Every dish was carefully prepared, and we had a satisfying time.

The very carefully prepared dishes include ones that capture the season and locally rooted ones that go wonderfully with drinks. It is a very relaxing restaurant. Slightly outside the center, around a side street between 大通り and 北1条通り, it is in a quiet, pleasant location. The moment you pass through the entrance curtain, the aroma of dashi is wonderful. From the first dish to the last, the food was exciting. I found a wonderful restaurant.

This restaurant made me think that perhaps prices are just numbers… as though my sense of them had become numb in a good way. Thankfully, I have had opportunities to visit many delicious and upscale restaurants. But even among them, this one was in a class of its own! I am truly humbled.

Every visit offers delicious seasonal food, so I always come with excitement. This time I again had the 飛鳥コース at the counter, and every dish was wonderful in both appearance and taste. Especially at the counter, you can see the cooking process, and I was impressed by the chef’s meticulous work. There is also a wide selection of sake, making for a very satisfying dinner.
