牛乃家Ushinoya牛乃家
Yakiniku BBQ with Japanese beef grilled at the table, in an industrial, brewery-style setting.
3 minutes' walk from Odori Subway Station. Fresh, authentic horumon hand-cut by craftsmen every day, thanks to our commitment to buying whole cattle, something only possible because we're run directly by a butcher shop!! All meat is hand-cut daily by our craftsmen. We're particular about origin, about ingredients, and about ingredient quality. The culmination of yakiniku nurtured by Hokkaido is here! "Gyunoya," run by a butcher. Please enjoy our carefully selected meat in a restaurant where you can relax without hesitation. 3 minutes walk from Odori subway station.

A good choice if you want to eat BBQ in Sapporo. Despite not making a reservation, we were seated in within 10mins. The restaurant is small but has two levels but I do recommend booking, especially for larger groups. Upstairs there were a good amount of booths that had dividers so you get some privacy. Their menu has a range of everything (even horse meat! which I seldomly see). You can order single items but the sets are more worthwhile so it depends whether you are going for price or quality of meat. I ordered the premium meat set which includes some cuts of wagyu and some main items. Staff are tentative, friendly and can speak some English. Food and drinks comes out fast too. The only thing I didn't really like was the ventilation wasn't the best and the place can get smokey, and on a few occasions, the oil from the meats caused the grill to light on fire for a new minutes (but this seemed normal there).
View on GoogleWaiting like is long especially on weekend, so better come early or come after 9 PM. They have ayce option starting from 2500 yen, but I choose a la carte menu. Taste of intestine and tongue was good.
View on GoogleWe chose to go at non peak 3pm because we did not make a reservation. We wrote our name in queue and waited closed to 30 minutes (there was a couple before us). After some customers started leaving the staff prepared our table. As we wrote our name in English the staff who was very polite asked us whether we wanted the English menu, which delighted us. As we were ordering the staff also informed me before hand of the table charge for ordering alcohol which I accepted. Meat serve here is very good, it will be one of the meals to remember in Sapporo. There is not much waiting space so be prepared to queue outside.
View on GoogleNo comments about the a la carte menu but we made a mistake for having the yakiniku all you can eat at this place. Everything was wrong from the beginning. At first we were seated at a table and a translated menu was brought to us after the waiter learnt that we don't speak Japanese. It was mentioned in a review by another customer posted a while ago that the all you can eat options were not included in the translated menus. That is still the case! And as soon as we told the waiter we were going to have the AYCE we were shoved to the counter seats. Go figure! It was very uncomfortable as the trainee waiter who served us appeared to be quite unfriendly towards foreigners. As for the food, the meat was tough even for the most expensive 5k+ course. Our worst yakiniku experience in Japan so far and yakiniku has been our favorite Japanese food. Shame on me for choosing this place on our last night in Sapporo! The 3.5 review score should have been a red flag! Hope the owner will stop apologizing in the replies and start improving on food and service quality!
View on GoogleCame here 2nd time on 2 different occasions. High quality Great meat and inner guts selection for your grilling pleasure. There can be quite a queue so make sure you plan in advance. In addition place can be a little cramp.
