February 12, 2026 Lunch (addendum) It's been a month since my last visit, and to repay the owner's pleasant reply, I visited again. Of course I came very hungry, ordered the two-color jū (Matsu) in the extra-large size, and finished it cleanly without any problem. And it's wonderful! Last time I wrote about the "extra sauce", and what do you know, the extra sauce is now on the tray, I'm moved. Now I can adjust the rice under the kabayaki to my preferred amount of sauce. Satisfaction went up even more than last time, I'll definitely stop by again, thank you for the meal. January 13, 2026 Lunch Arrived around 11:50, there were 2 groups already seated and 2 groups inside, but it was uncrowded. The menu is handed over as usual, but ordering is by QR code, which worked without problem; I submitted the two-color jū (Matsu 3,330 yen) with a large rice portion (100 yen) and it was served in a little over 5 minutes. The eel is big and the look is the best (lol) First I had the shirayaki; eaten as is, the eel flavor comes through directly, and it comes with small dishes of salt, soy sauce, wasabi, and green onion, so you can enjoy changing up the flavor, which is nice. The kabayaki has little sauce but you can taste the sauce. Maybe because it's the two-color jū? The rice under the kabayaki had almost no sauce on it. There are 3 kinds of sansho on the table, each with an explanation, and I tried them; perhaps because of the preconception from the explanation, there really were differences, and above all, since freshly ground, the aroma was very good. But I wanted extra sauce for the kabayaki. I also took the large rice (300g), but since you can enjoy various flavors it almost ran short, next time I'd like to come hungry and try the extra-large (400g, 200 yen). Overall it may be what you pay for, but if you can get this much satisfaction at this price it's plenty, I was very happy with this slightly luxurious lunch, thank you for the meal.

Ate eel at a reasonable price The prices at a restaurant I liked went up tremendously, and I found this place while looking for another and visited It's true I enjoyed the unaju with thick, meaty eel, but somehow the seasoning wasn't to my liking I also had grilled scallops with sauce and chawanmushi, but neither was to my liking I think the price is appropriate, so maybe I'm expecting too much, but it's purely a matter of taste…

I visited for lunch for the first time without looking at reviews. The interior is clean and the atmosphere is good. I ordered the unaju and was surprised it was served right away. It seems steam-grilled, with no crispness on the surface or grilled aroma. I like crispness and the aroma of grilling, so I was a bit disappointed. I sat at the counter, but there was no smell and no cooking sounds, so maybe only the finishing is done in the shop before serving? It may be good that the smell doesn't stick to your clothes. Since it's steam-grilled, the meat is fluffy and tender. The thickness and amount of the sauce were just right. Extra sauce also came with it, but I didn't need it. At cheaper places some eel has a watery texture, but not here. As the staff explained, I used the wasabi and all three kinds of sansho, and enjoyed the abundance of two eels' worth. What I found amazing, as you can see from the photo, is that what was served looked the same as the menu. This is important. Usually what's served looks shabbier than the menu photo, and you're disappointed in proportion to your expectations. Price-wise, it's probably in between a reasonable shop using European eel and a shop that fillets and cooks farmed Japanese eel in front of you. Next time I want to try the shirayaki.

I wanted to eat delicious eel with my elderly mother for the first time in a while, found this on Instagram, and visited for the first time Since I also wanted to try shirayaki, we had the two-color jū (Take) and hitsumabushi (Take) The moment I tasted it I said "delicious!" The shirayaki with wasabi, my first time, was delicious too There are 3 kinds of sansho, and we enjoyed comparing the differences The kabayaki sauce was the best and my mother was delighted I chose kimosui for the clear soup, and personally I thought it could be a bit lighter, but the portion was just right and it was a satisfying lunch The service was polite, they even saw us off, and it was pleasant to the very end
