A very spectacular and majestic dam. From the observation deck you can take in the beautiful scenery of Izumiyama in full, and it's even more beautiful when the maple leaves are out!

It's a pity that the observation deck can't be accessed because of falling rocks, but the scenery here is super beautiful!

31/10/2025, you don't actually have to take the bus (1200 yen). You can walk into the dam from the bus stop, which is at the parking lot. It takes about 20 minutes on foot, and most of the route is through tunnels.

Visited in June 2025. After getting off the bus, you can get there by walking a short way up a slope, and from here you can see the dam's water discharge. I think the view would have been better if it had been sunny.

The lift car was out of service for adjustments, so I went up the paved slope, but the view was worth it 👍
