One of the best experiences we’ve ever had! The place was beautiful, every dish was delicious, and the service was amazing. The staff was incredibly kind, spoke fluent English, and explained everything perfectly. My husband is allergic to shellfish, and they were very accommodating. They gave him a delicious alternative. We met the chef who was extremely nice and we celebrated our anniversary there, and it couldn’t have been more special. Definitely worth the trip and the price. Book early—I reserved a month before our trip to Japan. Highly recommend!
View on GoogleDining at THE JEWELS at the summit of Mount Moiwa for the SVD Special Dinner Plan B to celebrate our 2nd anniversary was the undisputed, romantic crown jewel of our entire Hokkaido summer road trip. Perched dramatically at the highest point of Mount Moiwa overlooking Sapporo, reaching the restaurant after our scenic mountain drive and the smooth mini cable car ride to the summit felt like stepping into an exclusive sanctuary in the sky. With our special window-side reservation, we were treated to an uninterrupted, front-row seat to Sapporo’s legendary night panorama—celebrated as one of Japan’s "New Top Three Night Views." Through the floor-to-ceiling glass dome, the sprawling city below sparkled like a boundless sea of diamonds under the clear summer night sky, creating an utterly breathtaking, unforgettable backdrop for an anniversary celebration. The Special Dinner Plan B fine dining course was a culinary masterpiece from start to finish: * Artfully Crafted Courses: A delicate fusion of modern French techniques showcasing premium Hokkaido ingredients—from succulent, locally sourced seafood and tender regional beef to crisp, vibrant seasonal vegetables. * Anniversary Touches: Elegantly plated dishes paired with fine wine, attentive and gracious service, and a beautifully personalized dessert presentation to toast to two wonderful years together. * Ambient Elegance: The restaurant’s warm, modern dome interior, soft ambient lighting, and subtle planetarium-style dome projections created a calm, intimate, and luxurious dining vibe. Gazing out over the sparkling city lights while savoring every exquisite bite made for an extraordinary, picture-perfect evening. Combining the ease of our road trip ascent with world-class fine dining high above the clouds, celebrating our anniversary at THE JEWELS was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that added pure romance and luxury to our Hokkaido journey!
View on GoogleIt's a little late, but I'm finally getting around to the review of this restaurant. The atmosphere was immaculate, the light snowfall outside and the shining city lights of Sapporo were beautiful, the food was delicious and carefully crafted. And quite honestly, it was reasonably priced. I've been to a few high end restaurants, but none of them have been able to combine this kind of atmosphere and wonderful food. Most of all, I will always remember this restaurant as the place where we got engaged.
View on GoogleI was impressed by the restaurant's romantic atmosphere and the delicious food, which made me feel special. The service from the staff was excellent, and the view was especially stunning. We enjoyed the sunset, and luckily it didn't snow, making the atmosphere truly beautiful. The cable car ride took a bit too long, probably because there were a lot of people. However, the restaurant was good, and the noise level wasn't too disruptive. I was very impressed.
View on GoogleFirst off: winter problems as the road up was closed so no taxi, take the Ropeway and plan at least 30 minutes before your reservation. That being said, the staff 100% accommodated our tardiness with Japanese courtesy! Now the food. Michelin quality food. Few flavors may need tweaking for the star, but yes, fine dining is solid and kudos to the chef. Every course was tasty, unique flavors, and 0 complaints. Maybe some truffle or garlic places but that's just getting picky. Good wine pairings. Nice non-alcoholic flavors too. Service was solid. If they tried, certainly can tweak for the star with a smidge more attentiveness etc. But for a fantastic tasting dinner, still great. And the view. THE VIEW. Worth it if you like the fine dining tasting menu experience.
