This was easily my favourite meal in Hokkaido. We arrived at 5:05pm (5 min past opening) and did not have to wait as a group of 4, although many customers were already seated. We ordered four different set meals with fried oysters, chicken nanban, ginger pork, stewed offal, and karaage. Each one was super delicious! Especially the fried oysters, which were incredibly juicy on the inside with a perfectly crisp coating. There was a self-serve tea station offering green tea, hojicha, and barley tea, which was a lovely bonus. What made the experience even better was the service. Our waiter was exceptionally patient and kind with us, as we are English speakers ordering from a Japanese-only menu. We even watched him go the extra mile and run after a customer on an ice cold night to return something she had accidentally left behind. 5 stars all around!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a shop that sells meals for pretty much cheaper and more delicious food. Its amount is huge and I would recommend this place if you want something to fill your stomach just perfectly.

I ordered the shoga-yaki (ginger pork) and tori-kara (fried chicken) set. The shoga-yaki was well seasoned and made the rice disappear. The karaage was also large and satisfying, and both were delicious. It also came with a fried egg, salad, and miso soup, so the volume was solid. At 1,480 yen I thought it was a little pricey for a set meal, but for this content and amount, satisfaction was high. It's a place I'd like to come back to when I want to eat heartily.

Arrived a little before 12:00 on 5/31 (Sun). There's a relatively large parking lot behind the shop, and I was able to get in without waiting. The interior isn't very big, but there were about 10 counter seats and about 4 booth seats. The customers ranged from young to elderly, and the shop was full of customers and a little lively... It seems to be a popular shop. Now, what I had this time from the popular set menu was the motsuni (stewed offal) and shoga-yaki (ginger pork) set meal, regular rice (¥1,500) For a shoga-yaki, there were two relatively thick and large pieces of meat. Mizuna and finely shredded cabbage that soaked up the pork fat and sauce well. Eaten together with rice... it goes great with rice (lol). The 300g regular rice (free) was half gone with just the two pieces of meat. The motsuni... honestly... had fewer ingredients than I imagined... The crucial offal was scarce. It felt more like a soup than motsuni. The taste isn't bad, but it may be a matter of preference, I found it lacking in richness. Looking at the customers around, it seemed many people were ordering grilled fish set meals. Fish has been expensive lately. You can't easily get a grilled fish set meal for around ¥1,500. I think it's good.

I went at around 11:30 for a weekday lunch. The parking lot is behind the shop but it was already almost full. A popular shop. Inside there are counter and table seats, and water and tea are self-serve. I had heard the shoga-yaki was delicious, so this time I chose the set of shoga-yaki and saba miso (miso-stewed mackerel). Rice is normally 300g and can be upgraded to 500g or 600g for an extra charge. The shoga-yaki was tender and delicious, just as rumored! The saba miso had slightly strong seasoning that made the rice go fast. The menu is also extensive so I'd like to come again. A good shop.
