•For a big shopping street, Tanukikoji is not overwhelmingly crowded during my visit (end of May-June). •It’s the perfect day/night walk here in Sapporo if you’re having a day for food tour and shopping. •I love my morning walks here! The street is very quiet with most shops closed. The konbinis are open though. •There are a lot of good ramen, soup curry, and most Japanese restaurants here despite it looking very touristy.

Tanukikoji Shopping Street (狸小路商店街) is a big, historic covered arcade in Sapporo, stretching several blocks with tons of shops, restaurants, and drugstores to browse through. It's covered, so a great option even if the weather isn't cooperating. It's right by the huge Mega Don Quijote, so easy to combine both into one shopping stroll, souvenirs, snacks, beauty products, basically anything you could want in one trip. Fun place to wander for an hour or two, day or night.

Such a lively place! It’s a long strip of a lot of variety of things. From food establishments, vintage and souvenir shops (plus the Mega Don Quijote), hotels, drug stores, and activity-filled places. You may need time to go around if you wanna check out every store here. There are plenty of thrift stores as well that sell good quality items.

We visited Tanukikoji Shopping Street and really enjoyed the experience. There are many shops along the street, from souvenirs and cosmetics to food and daily items. It is easy to walk, weather friendly, and very convenient. A nice place to stroll, shop, and grab food while exploring Sapporo.

Lots of store along this arcade street, I think it has 7 sections. Nice to stroll and eat, the 3 famous pharmacies are in here, 2 stores of Sapporo Drug -bought my Canmake products 😊, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Sugi Drug. Don Ki is also in here. Discovered my new favorite burger restau - Zeteria!!! 🥰
